In 1947, Blue Bell Overall Company set out to create the perfect western jean. After hiring “Rodeo Ben”, Jim Shoulders and Freckles Brown helped him design a jean that met the rigorous demands of both the rodeo and the ranch. Jeans that embodied the individualism and unbridled spirit of the American West. An American icon was born.
