These were my first pair of Lucchese boots. I had heard of Lucchese but really didn't know anything about the history of the company. After doing a bit of reading I realize how special these boots are. They are a beautiful warm brown leather with a gorgeous turquoise-green stitching. The leather is very soft and the boots are incredibly comfortable. The only negative thing I would say about these boots is because of the type of leather they are made with, which seems softer, almost like an oiled leather, they do scuff easier than typical leather cowboy boots. I honestly like this feature as the boots almost instantly develope a patina, they look like you've had them forever. They don't have a stiff look, just a nice, well loved look. I get tons of compliments whenever I wear them.

I am normally a size 10A, so boots always run wide on me. I was really worried about ordering online and having boots fit correctly since I've tried on every pair I could find locally and none fit. But when I saw how pretty these were, I did some research and read some other reviews of these boots here and there on the web. I decided that enough people said to order these 1/2 size lower than you usually get, so I did just that and ordered the 9.5. The length fit great, glad I didn't get the 10. The width is what I expected (a bit too wide for a A or AA foot), but after putting in some contoured insoles, they fit perfect now! I am extremely happy with this purchase and would definitely buy this brand again. These are very soft, beautifully made boots. Worth the $$.

Although these boots are beautiful, they stretched out so much that I can bearly keep them on my feet. I ordered half a size down as recommended. They were tight initially with a little bit of slippage in the heel, which I read is normal. After about two months of wear, they stretched so much that they practically fall off. I'm pretty disappointed, they weren't a small investment.
