I'm a horseback trail guide in a pretty rugged (rocks, rain, and barbed wire fences) area and my riding boots were getting really beaten up at work. I bought these and they've been GREAT! They were instantly comfortable, extremely durable, give excellent ankle support, and wear and tear gives them lots of character. When these wear out I plan on buying a duplicate pair.
