I hadn't worn a pair of Frye boots in many years, but I needed a new pair of motorcycle boots and I remembered the comfort and quality of Frye so I decided to get another pair. I liked the look of the harness boot as well as the functionality of them- the way you can wear them with your jeans and leathers, and then just clean them up and wear them with a pair of dressy slacks or even a long skirt. When I put them on for the first time, I could immediately tell that I had the right fit. They were perfect! After wearing them a few times, they molded to the shape of my foot, and really didn't require any "breaking in" - really! I like the sturdiness of the Frye quality. The leather is smoothe and supple, yet not thin or flimsy as with other types of boots. I also really like the soles as they are quite thick and the stitching is top knotch. When I get compliments on these boots, and I do get alot of compliments when I wear these boots, I tell people that they are as comfortable as slippers. I say this because I not only wear these boots when I ride a motorcycle, but also as an everyday boot. I have worn them for many hours walking through shopping malls, or on family outings and never once have I had to remove them because my feet hurt- honestly! One of the things I like most about these harness boots is that they always look good. I take good care of them- keeping them clean, conditioned and polished, and after over a year of almost constant wear, they still look as good as new. I love these boots and can't recommend them highly enough. Get a pair, you won't be sorry.
