I would recommend work boots in this order. Wolverine for comfort, Chippewa for durability, Timberland for overall and Caterpillar if you are on a budget. I prefer Wolverine's, but a lot of my friends have carolina and chippewa boots.

Very easy to break in and not too heavy considering the steel toe.

I purchased a pair of these Wolvarine Durashocks a year and a couple months ago, and loved them! as a matter of fact I'm still wearing them today. One thing to be forwarned though is that if you wear your boots daily as I do you'll find that the souls of the Durashocks are comfrtable although they wearout faster than any other boot I've ever owned. It seems the softness of this boot construction comes at the tradeoff of durability, and I for one would expect a bit more longevity out of a boot in this price range.
