I bought these boots to use in my 9 month stint in Pest Control in Phoenix Arizona. I walked lawns and gravel and into homes in 110 to 115 degree heat. Every day for 9 months....well 3 for summer months. These boots not only look good they support and held up well. Other than a scratch in the top grain of the toe on one,(tripped over scrub cactus in a back yard) I haven't had any other wear marks on these boots. Fresh polish and a shine has them look like new. The soles are durable and don't fill up like a lug sole, (good for the mud or errant dog doo in yard I might have missed. I walked probably 5 miles a day in these boots and didn't have any discomfort...I likened them to a great supportive, better looking tennis shoes. Pest control requires some protective leather shoes as you really don't want those chemicals leaching into your shoes and onto your skin.I highly recommend them and could see them working in a saddle as well. I have ridden a few horses in my time, just not in thses boots.
