This product is good for the Roper style, but I felt that it wore faster than others I have owned. By this I include not just the leather sole, but the leather itself. I have had the Roper Clasics from Lucese, and they held up beter overall. That said, it is comfortable to wear, and I do a lot of walking on pavement, so I feel that is a reliable statement....

Like the previous review, I agree that these didn't wear as long as Lucchese "Classics", but the price was also less. I would rather have the classics. The leather on the boot starts to look worn more quickly than other boots. This was even more apparent on a pair of Lonestars that were medium brown in color (doesn't appear that color is available at BootBarn nowadays). I purchased both black and brown and later sold them on eBay. I bought classics instead.

Also, because of the type of insole these boots have, I would advise you to order a 1/2 size larger than you normally wear. The cushion-type sole takes up more space inside the boot.
