How Will I Know When Your Return or Exchange Has Been Accepted?



We understand that sometimes  returns and exchanges are necessary.  We want to make sure we process your return or exchange in a timely manner.  Please follow the below instructions to ensure we have all your proper information.

Return/Exchange Policy
1.  Product must not show evidence of wear and the original tags must be attached.

2.  Items must be returned within 30 days of receiving your order.      

3.  Returns or Exchanges lacking an Authorization Number will not be accepted by our returns warehouse and will be returned to the customer.  Your confirmation number will be the same number as your order number.  Regardless of where your original order was shipped from, please make sure you send your return to our:

4.  Original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable and exchanges may incur additional shipping charges.  The shipping carrier you choose to return your package is your choice.  Yet, we recommend you send back your package through a carrier such as UPS or FedEx that allows you to track your returning package.   

5.  Allow 2-4 weeks for your return or exchange to be processed.   It may be sooner.  As soon as your return or exchange is processed you will receive an email confirmation.

6.  You may not return Internet purchases to one of our stores.  Currently, the only way we can accept Internet returns is for you to ship the product directly back to our Anaheim, California returns warehouse.

Holiday Ordering for Gifts
How Long do I have to Return Orders That Were Gifts?
If you ordered your item for a holiday gift between Oct 25th and Dec 24th, these orders will be allowed to return their items until Jan 30th, 2006.

Registered Customers
If you a registered user and have an account with BootBarn.com simply follow the below:

1.  Log into your account.
2.  Go to your order history
2.  Locate your past order and click into it. 
3.  Check the item(s) that you wish to exchange or return and click submit.
4.  You will get a confirmation screen.  Print out this confirmation screen and include these instruction in the box.

if you did not register your email address and password at time of ordering, your order history will not be available.

Unregistered Customers 
If you are not a registered user, simply follow the bellow:

1.  If you do not have your original order number Email custserv@bootbarn.com referencing your original order number, and the item number that you would like to return or an exchange.   Once we receive your email, we will reply with an authorization number (referencing your original order number) & additional instructions if needed.  Please allow up to 1 business day for a response.

2.  Next print out our email instructions or print out and complete our return form (click here).  You will need Adobe's Acrobat Reader to view our return form.  If you need Acrobat, you may download it for free by clicking:

**Make sure you include our return instructions in your box and be sure to indicate the reason for the return or the style # and size that you are exchanging for.

3.  Lastly, go ahead and wrap the package securely, insure it and include those instructions!  Using U.S. Insured Mail or UPS are two popular shipping options.  UPS is preferred simply because it allows tracking capabilities.

Problems Getting A Return or Exchange Form?

Would you like us to email you an email formatted copy of our return form?  


Email custserv@bootbarn.com referencing your original order number, and the item number that you would like to return or an exchange and let them know that you are having problems with getting a return form.  We will email you an alternative email form to print from your email.  If you do not have a printer, you may simply hand write the form making sure all the information is present.

How Will I Know When BootBarn.com Receives My Return or Exchange Package?

You will receive an email confirmation


As soon as we receive and process your return or exchange we will email you a confirmation to the email address you provided on your original order.  Note, if there is a refund due, this refund will be noted in your email confirmation and typically shows up on your credit card account within 2-5 business days (depending on your credit card) or by your next credit card statement.  If you have requested an exchange, you will receive two email confirmations, one confirming that we received your original order and another email noting your new replacement order number.

Can you track my return?

We cannot track your return for you if you did not send it via a track-able service such as UPS or FedEx.  If you sent your return back to us with a track-able service, you may contact us and we will happily track your package to see if it has been received by our returns warehouse.

What is a good guideline when I should expect to receive an email confirmation that my return package has been accepted and processed?

It generally takes 2-4 weeks to process a return or exchange package from the time you return the item back to us.  This takes in consideration the transit time of the return package back to us, a full warehouse inspection of the returned item(s) and credit processing of your return paperwork.  As soon as your return or exchange is processed you will receive an email confirmation.
