Boot Barn Lucchese Trunk Shows in Stores
Lucchese Trunk Shows
Lucchese was founded in 1883, more than one hundred years ago, by Sam Lucchese in San Antonio, Texas. With their one of a kind “twisted cone last” design and their dedication to their craft, Lucchese has become synonymous with quality, comfort, and style. With their unique designs and detailed construction, they are known today as the “Rolls Royce” of boots. Lucchese has designed boots for presidents, kings, and film legends, and now they can design a customized pair of boots for you.
At their exclusive trunk shows, customers can meet a Lucchese Boot Factory Representative who will be able to answer any boot questions they may have. These expert representatives will also be able to custom fit anybody’s feet to any boots and style so that customers leave with exactly what they want. They can help customers design, fit, and order their very own individual pair of Lucchese Boots, all in one day. These trunk shows offer customers a chance to get up close and personal to a Lucchese representative, an opportunity that is infrequent and rare unless you go to Lucchese’s boot factory in El Paso, Texas. Customers can come and choose from hundreds of styles and hand made boots that are currently in stock.
The biggest advantage to these trunk shows is custom made. Lucchese experts will custom fit any feet to any boot, so that the feel is perfect, or close to it. If you wear a small size, like a size 6, but you have fat feet, that’s okay. Come to the trunk show because they’ll custom make boots for you. If you have a high instep and can’t get your feet into your normal boot size and you have to wear boots that are 2 sizes too big, that’s also okay. Come to the trunk show because they’ll custom make boots for you. If you have normal size feet but fat calves and you can get your feet into the boot but the shaft rides too low, that’s okay because at the trunk show they’ll custom make boots for you. If you have really big, but narrow feet, and you can’t find the right boot because every big size boot out there is too wide, COME TO THE TRUNK SHOW!, because they’ll custom make boots for you.
Lucchese’s expert representatives will also custom design any pair of boots a customer desires. If size isn’t the problem and you just can’t find the right boots that call out to you, come to the trunk show because they’ll customize boots just for you. If you don’t like the walking heel or the narrow toe on those western boots, that’s okay. Come to the trunk show because they’ll custom make boots for you.
Sam Lucchese once said, “Make a last wrong or put the wrong height and shape of heel on it and you disrupt a man’s [or women’s] stride.” Well, don’t put a damper on your stride. Take this opportunity to get yourself the perfect pair of boots made with only you in mind. Visit Lucchese’s trunk shows and start walking like a giant.

Father's Day & Boot Talking
Is Father’s Day really just a holiday that greeting card company’s invented to extort money from the public? No, it’s not. In fact, when the idea of a Father’s Day was first invented, Father’s Day cards didn’t even exist. Hmmm, so I guess we don’t really have an excuse now not to buy our dads a gift on his day.
How did it all begin? It all started in 1909 when Sonora Dodd wanted to honor her father, William Smart. Her mom passed away in childbirth and his selflessness in raising six kids all by himself is what inspired her to celebrate her father. She chose to celebrate it in June because her father’s birthday was in June. President Calvin Coolidge supported a national Father’s Day and it became official in 1966 when President Lyndon Johnson signed a presidential proclamation declaring the third Sunday of June as Father’s Day.
So, how are you going to honor your dad this year? Are you getting him a card for Father’s Day? Maybe you should think twice about that. When was the last time you saw your dad reach into his special box full of memorabilia to reminisce about the past? Never, because there is no such box. Thinking about getting your dad another tie? What is a necktie but a reminder to each father of his youthful ambitions he abandoned and the world of servitude in which he now resides? For the love of your father, put the tie down, and back away from the rack. Fathers, who are the adult version of little boys with a tad more responsibility, want the adult version of a Tonka truck not a decorative noose or 12 stanzas in beautiful calligraphy telling him how much he means to you. A Father wants something that will remind him of the reckless, devil may care youth he abandoned when he gladly accepted the obligation to put your needs ahead of his.
The main thing to ask yourself when considering a Father’s Day gift is “Who does my father think he is?” Does he envision himself as a weekend Hell’s Angel? Is he always rambling on about how “someday the snowy peak of Everest will bow down before him.” Does he picture himself on horseback in the old west uttering lines of dialogue like “I reckon so.” Once you determine this information, the ideal Father’s Day gift is not far away because no matter what the harebrained masculine delusion is, the answer can always be footwear. No cowboy, mountain climber, or Hell’s Angel would be complete without his boots and your father is no different.
Does your dad own a motorcycle? Get him a cool pair of riding boots! Check out our great selection of motorcycle boots from Harley Davidson, Chippewa, and the newest addition to our motorcycle boot family, Redwing, and lots more. Is your dad more of a hiker than a biker? Get him the most comfortable pair of hiking boots around. Check out Ariat’s ATS comfort technology in their hiking boots. Is your dad a cowboy at heart? Well, saddle him up with one of hundreds of classic western boots from the ever popular Justin Brands to the classic styling of Lucchese’s. We have it all for the adventurer in every dad out there. This Father’s Day, give your dad’s a chance to step back into his wild youth and experience the reckless abandonment that felt like it was a lifetime ago.
Bootbarn.com is now offering a free gift with purchase on select styles for a limited time only. It’s a gift within a gift! Choose from a variety of styles. Whether your dad’s tearing up the open highway with the wind blowing in his face, or contemplating his next move while climbing up Mount Everest, or riding his horse through town in the Wild, Wild West, there’s a boot for him at BootBarn.com.

Old Gringo Brings Flare for the Vintage Days
It’s No Accident
Five years ago, Yan Ferry and Ernie Tarut decided to open the best boot factory in North America producing their own brand of boots that would only be the best. This dream was ideal to both given that Yan was one of the best boot makers in the world and Ernie had over 30 years of experience in the boot business. With Yan’s leading expertise in boot making and design, coupled with Ernie’s knowledge of the leather manufacturing and wholesale business, Old Gringo was first introduced to the boot world in the fall of 2000.
Within six months of opening the factory, Yan Ferry had already designed a collection of vintage, retro, and original styles that were launched to the boot market with great success. Along with being welcomed and accepted in major western chains, Old Gringo had also found its way into fashion boutiques and major catalogs. Old Gringo’s beautiful designs called out to not only the fashionable cowgirl or cowboy but to the fashionable in general, western or not. Along with major retailers, customers were just as eager to purchase a pair of Old Gringos. Combining the best materials with the highest skills in craftsmanship, Old Gringo has proven that creative designs and comfort are in fact no accident. The meticulous design of each and every Old Gringo boot has made it what it is today. And to this day they still strive to provide their customers with quality, comfort, and one of a kind designs.

Lucchese Exclusive Series

Lucchese started in 2004 with a new line called the exclusive series. These are usually part of the "1883" collection of handcrafted styles. The difference is that with these "exclusive styles" Lucchese makes a limited production run. Each style comes out for only a 2-3 month period, is produced usually less than 100 pairs per size and provided to a very limited amount of retail stores. Needless to say, once the style is gone, it is gone. If you're one of the lucky ones to grab a pair, rest assured, chances are you'll be one of only a very few worldwide.
This year Boot Barn is happy to become on of Lucchese exclusive retailers. We are one of the only online providers of Lucchese exclusive line. To view our latest selection you can visit us by clicking here.
Some months you might go wow! Other months you might pass. But overall, these styles blend the vintage western design and patterns with Lucchese's careful craftmanship that takes over 260 individual steps to produce each boot! Generally referred to as the Cadalliac of western boots down in El Paso, these exclusive styles provide the proof. For instance, the exclusive pattern this month is the "shooting stars" series for women. This style combines an artistic blend of black soft leather with a python snake tip. Certainly unique!
Boot Barn joined the exclusive program because of the extreme quality and western tradition these boots provide. But, we are largely joining the program because our customers have voiced their concern that they would like to see more Lucchese products on our online store.
Do you have a comment about Lucchese? We'd like to hear from you.
