Rated 2 out of 5 by Dog Walker from Changed Construction Something has changed at Ariat. This pair does not have the same comfort as prior shoes - three pair over the past three years. These are one eighth inch narrower on the soles and the uppers barely cover the tongue. The leather is not supple as in the past - these new ones are as stiff as cardboard. I bought myself a size 11D and my wife an 8B and we both have the same complaints - the same sizes we have always bought. The older ones needed no break-in and these may not make it as we do a lot of walking and they are not comfortable. Ariat - please go back to to previous manufacturer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Larry Phelps from fabrication problems This is the third pair of this style boot (water proof) and on both pair I had/have the problem of the seams coming apart. It was the left one on the first pair and now it is the right one on the latest pair. The latest pair were worn only during last winter and early spring. They were gotten out this fall and I have noticed that the inside toe seam has begun to fail, and the outside toe seam looks like it was cut when the seam layers were trimmed. The left boot appears to be wearing OK with no evidence of seam break down. These boots were purchased while traveling out of state on vacation in June of 2009. This makes it difficult to make contact with the place of purchase. It seems weird that this fault would happen on different boots (left then right) so it can't be blamed on a foot deformity. These boots were size 11.5 to make room for thicker socks, as I usually wear size 11.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kathy from Ever since I put my foot ... Ever since I put my foot into an Ariat boot 5 years ago, that's all I wear. I really like these Terrain shoes for everything I do. They are the choice for me when I ride my quad (4-wheeler) and go camping/hiking. They are tough and my last pair lasted over a year & 1/2 and 8k miles. Can't go wrong with these if you are active and want comfort too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by IBEBOB from Not what they use to be. I bought a pair of these a few years ago and wanted to replace them. New shoes are not near the quality of the old shoes. Pull tab on rear is made for a childs fingers.
