The Skyline 4X beaver fur blend hat from the New Frontiers Collection is an example of the fine quality and craftsmanship that you know in the name Stetson. This hat is blended with only the finest furs - it is a great hat for any job. The 4" brim will come to you with a profile that is molded in the factory, but it has the ability to be shaped to your preference. The X's in the hat are used to represent the quality of the hat. The exact percentage of beaver fur is only known by Stetson, as that is a secret formula that helps Stetson remain the leading manufacturer in headwear.
Care: Use a soft brush, starting at the left side of the hat, and brush it counterclockwise toward the back of the hat and around again. If your hat gets wet, simply shake off the excess water. If it's a fur felt, you need to turn down the "self-conforming" leather sweatband and stand the hat on the sweatband so it can dry naturally. Never rest your hat on its brim as this could cause it to lose its shape. Store your hat upside down, on its crown, on a clean surface or in a box.

John B. Stetson started the John B. Stetson Hat Company in 1865 with no mare than $100 and a passion for hats. He rented a small room, bought the tools he needed, bought $10 worth of fur and launched his dream. Soon after he started his humble company, the famous "Hat of the West" also known as "Boss of the Plains" was born. The rest of the Stetson Hat story is as we say "history." Stetson Hats became a trademark for quality, durability, innovation and beauty. Stetson Hats remain that way today!
John B. Stetson had some very tough times in creating Stetson Hats. He was trained by his father who was a master hatter, but making it at the time was difficult. Being a hatter was not held in very high regard and they were seen as unreliable. John B. Stetson changed all that with his line of Stetson Hats. He built one of the most well-known and successful American businesses. Stetson Hats rely on innovation, quality and durability to keep them that way today.
Today Stetson Hats resides in Garland, Texas where they produce hundreds of different styles and colors. The Stetson Hat factory is once of the largest factories in the United States.
