Comments about Chippewa Men's Sportility 8" Insulated Logger Waterproof Work Boots:
I bought a pair of these boots about ten months ago for a cold weather, December motorcycle trip. These are heavy and stiff boots that take getting used to, especially shifting on the left side. Apart from that, they are very high quality, extremely rugged, super insulated, super comfortable, and super protective boots for motorcycling. I like wearing them so much that I did not go back to my summer weight boots this summer. They keep my feet warm motorcycling in high-20's winter weather. My feet have never gotten wet in them. The soles give excellent grip on pavement. There was no break-in period. They were very comfortable walking around in from the first wear. The only negative was that the original laces were defective and needed to be replaced after a few months. Also the lug soles pick up gravel and hold it, but they are easy to pick out. I ordered a half size larger than my street shoes to allow for thicker boot socks, and they fit perfectly. If you are looking for a very heavy-duty pair of boots with excellent build quality, that will give maximum protection, maximum grip, great walking comfort, waterproofness, and great insulation, these will work for you if you can live with the weight and stiffness.
