Chippewa Boots® developed the Logger boot for the Lumberjacks of the great upper Midwest back in 1901. Today these styles are not only worn by the logging industry but by men that perceive this silhouette to be the ultimate in a rugged outdoor wear. Just like regular Thinsulate™, Thinsulate™ Ultra is lightweight, breathable, and moisture-resistant. It is loftier and thicker for even greater warmth and comfort, yet still thin enough to allow complete freedom of movement. Every lug incorporated in the design of this sole has been strategically placed for braking, kick off, traction, stability and slip resistance. The exclusive Vibram® compound provides maximum traction on wet/dry surfaces and various terrain.
